Easter Break

Back to work....

After a lovely 10 day break down in the lovely Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, I am trying to get back into work mode. It's not easy....
The weather was great (for Ireland), the sun was out, the beach was quiet and the seals back for a new season.
Good weather, good food and awesome family and friends. All in all, a great break.

I love these little beauties. I walk down to the beach every morning and they 'swim' in to greet me. We spend a while just watching each other, sometimes a very long while, then part company and on with the day ahead.

Loads more pics here ... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.389562767740922.93680.100000616063827&type=3#!/hannigan.rose/photos
I probably took about 1000 or more pics, but couldn't upload them all. :)

During the week, I promise I will be back in proper work mode. So watch this space, I will run a little competition. The answer to the question that will be asked is in this blog post. The prize will be a ... SURPRISE. I know, that's a bit mean. But of course it will include a gorgeous handmade soap.

Indulgence

Indulgence

New - Now available in webstore

It felt like it was taking forever for our lovely new addition to cure, but has been so worth the wait.

Indulgence is a lovely rich creamy bar, made with sweet almond oil, decadent cocoa butter, organic shea butter, goats milk, kaolin and silk. It has a beautiful complex and tenacious essential oil blend.

The essential oil blend combines rich earthy notes (Indonesian Dark Patchouli) with fresh sweet citrus notes, layered with green, wood and floral accents also. It's truly divine. Indulgence got it's name purely because it is a very indulgent complex combination of essential oils.

Check out instore now for this delightful new addition to out range.

Indulgence

Indulgence

On the curing rack
Ready March 10th

Indulgence  is a lovely rich creamy bar, made with sweet almond oil, decadent cocoa butter, organic shea butter, goats milk, kaolin and silk. It has a beautiful complex and tenacious essential oil blend. Oh boy is it complex, 15 essential oils no less. OK so I went a bit overboard, but I am an essential oil addict. I  love to create new and exciting blends, offering something really unique and special. Creating layer after layer of scent.

This handmade soap was originally designed for an International Friendship Soap Swap. As part of the swap, we had to do a video also. Of course, myself being as tech savvy as I am, pressed the wrong button. Went through the whole process, talking away to myself, soaping away, thinking this isn't so bad (doing a video). That was of course until I tried to replay it, then there was nothing. Well, there wasn't a video but I did have a gorgeously scented fab soap. So, I had start again and do a different batch for the swap, I will post about that one soon.

The essential oil blend combines rich earthy notes (Indonesian Dark Patchouli) with fresh sweet citrus notes, layered with green, wood and floral accents also. It's truly divine. Indulgence got it's name purely because it is a very indulgent complex combination of essential oils.

This lovely decadent handmade soap is on the curing rack and will be ready on March 10th. Keep an eye out for announcement of when they will be added to www.libanireland.com website, as some have already been pre-ordered.

Irish Soap Swap

Enjoying 'Vintage Patchouli' from www.iamhandmade.com .

We've been talking about doing an Irish soap swap for what seems like ages now, but never got round to it until recently. It's a little funny really, it's not like our wee country is that big and there's so many of us to do swaps. This was a small swap, myself (Rose) from www.libanireland.com , Celine from www.iamhandmade.com and Hajni from www.mianrasoaps.com .

Today I will be talking about Celine's 'Vintage Patchouli' from www.iamhandmade.com .
Celine is a very talented and artistic soaper. She has a very definite  and creative style, loves her colour and definetly loves a little sparkle. She is also the queen of fragrance oils, a total addict.

Vintage Patchouli has a lovely creamy texture, producing a rich creamy lather that works into masses of bubbles. The bar of handmade soap itself was a very generous size and had a lovely smooth creamy texture.

The scent is very unisex, well suited to men and women. I'm a Patchouli addict, I just love the rich earthy aroma so this is right up my street. When we were planning this swap, we didn't specify any particular soap. The sender sends what they think the recipient would like. I have to say Celine got this so right.

I will most definetly continue to enjoy using this bar over the next few weeks.

Celine's description of Vintage Patchouli: (courtesy of www.iamhandmade.com )
This lovely fragrance is a sensual blend of Patchouli Essential Oil, Bergamot & White Flowers on an intense base of woody incense; it's clean yet deep & dark, perfumed and mysterious - a fragrance that makes you think of long held secrets.
